NH Nacional has a good location just opposite the Prado museum and 2 min.walk from Thyssen-museum. I stayed here for 1 night while visiting Madrid on business. Although my room was a little smaller than expected I was extremely satisfied with all aspects of my stay. The staff were extremely helpful and efficicient, the the room comefortable and the food very agreeable. I'd have no hesitation in recomending this hotel. more

So there is a fair bit of traffic about, get over it. This is a lovely place to stay, easy to find, well located for getting about by tube, foot whatever 10 mins walk from Gran Via less to main museums. Staff nice and friendly allways willing to help. The Hotel is located in a busy area of Madrid. The room size is smaller than I hope for. I was very disappointed that the hotel advertised to have provide free wireless internet access, but that was only for 15 mins on the ground floor by the reception, and so-called "Business Centre".
