Generally, a basic, clean accommodation. Through the hotel's website, my BF and I booked a rate of $135/night. Another review tipped us off that there are no beach front rooms, so we just booked the cheapest room (they're all the same, I think). Since it was New Year's weekend, we thought this was a fair rate. To pay that much... more

Let me start by saying that if I was an 18 year old backpacker or on spring break paying $50 a night I would not have an issue with The Palms. But unfortunately I’m paying decent money - $200 a night – to stay in a place where everything seems to be a problem or causes agro. Here is a... more

The brochure and web advertising is deceiving. The property is not finished - half of the rooms haven't even been started and the ones that have been renovated aren't finished. The bathroom and shower have a hard coat finish waiting for something to be done to it - either paint or tile. The water pressure in the shower was light... more

Just going to make this quick... booked it becuase of all the good reviews from trip advisor & it was nothing like what people said it was. First night no hot water. No cushions on chairs on deck near pool. No one was staying at the hotel...we were alone...scary. Restuarant was ok but it didn't look like a restuarant at... more

I wanted a vacation that would fit my budget and a friend told me about this resort in Negril. She mentioned that it is fairly new and growing. After reviewing the prices on the website and other information, I was sold. I booked through the hotel with no problems and had transportation waiting for me when I arrived to the... more

I first came across ThePalms Negril on tripadvisor. I had stayed at several hotels in negril before. Most of them were very substandard. I decided to give The Palms a try based on the fact that the reviews were all very positive. The funny thing is that when I came back on tripadvisor to write this review, I noticed the... more

Jamaica No Problem at the Palms resort. I am a true jet setter and I have to say that this has been my best vacation yet!!! This truly boutique hotel is fabulous. I felt that I was enveloped in the middle of chic trendy and beautiful surroundings as well as amazing culture. Located on the famous 7 mile beach, The... more

A friend recommended us this hotel. They were very satisfied about it. So we booked it for two weeks to see for ourself. The Palms opened in Spring and there were still renovating. They will finish it soon. But the renovating didn't bother us. When we arrived, the manager showed us around. The room was very good, it had a... more

Overall I can appreciate the cozy setting of this little boutique hotel and ultimately enjoyed my stay there! Yes, there are some blemishes which are in fact due to the initial age of the property and the fact that is under new ownership and undergoing a complete restoration...but still, I found it to be very relaxing which was my overall... more
