Don't get me wrong the zipline was a blast, not worth ruining my perfectly good NEW shoes. Wear your oldest, ugliest shoes on this tour. Honestly I was upset because I had just purchased these $60 shoes just to be ruined instantly. The guides tried to make it fun with lame jokes I do give them props for that. more

What a great experience even for people with height issues. Once you make the first run it's easy to do. Our guides, George and Jim were fantastic with a great sense of humor that helped with the first time jitters. I recommend this adventure to anyone. You are never too old to do this. more

My son and I had a great time at the Haleakala zipline tour. Brian and Kumara, our guides, made it so much fun. I'm not typically a "tour-type" person at all, but the location, guides and vibe made it seem like we were just zip-lining in Maui with some friends. Took our two adult sons (28 & 26) last week (October 2008). Not a cheap adventure at a little over $140 each. Lasted the full four hours, and they were not kidding when they tell you you will get dirty: I ended up throwing out my nylon running shoes...the red dust completely permeated them, and changed their color!
